Hey there, if you've enjoyed playing poker, and maybe dished out some 'bad beats', consider giving some karma back to the world and donate to one of the charity activities below, or go on to the Virgin Money Giving site and seach for a worthy cause that's close to your own heart.

This charity means something to me, as my daughter was born with the condition of PseudoHypoParaThyroidism (PHP), sometimes known as Albrights disease (which is a lot easier to say). The fantastic consultants at her local hospital saved her life one night and have continued to offer great support ever since. If you have kids, you'll know how much it hurts when they get in deep trouble and how relieved you are when caring medical experts are at hand to help.

THE CHILDRENS FOUNDATION (RVI)

Our vision is for the health and wellbeing of children and young people in North East England to be the best in the UK. We fund research so we can help to cure sick children and prevent them from becoming ill. We also investigate lifestyle issues which we hope will lead to better long-term outcomes for children in the region. We support NHS projects including the Great North Children's Hospital with our campaign to include the latest technology in the wards to make the time spent in hospital as comfortable and stress-free as possible for children and their families. We manage partnership projects which deliver practical, researched interventions to help children with disabilities or mental health issues and to promote the importance of child safety. We aim to make North East children and ultimately children in the UK Happy, Healthy and Safe.

Please give generously to.... The Vanessa Riddle Appeal Hi my name is Vanessa and I am 11 years old. In Dec 2011, I was devastated to find out my Neuroblastoma had relapsed, its a kind of CANCER that mainly affects young children and babies.
